About the event
Students preparing for medicine, public health, clinical research, and related careers increasingly benefit from practical experience that demonstrates how they can apply academic knowledge to real problems.
This session explores ways students and early-career professionals can participate in research, technology projects, community health initiatives, nonprofit programs, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
Special attention will be given to turning participation into meaningful evidence of experience rather than simply collecting certificates.
What participants will explore: emerging healthcare career pathways; research experience; public health projects; community health initiatives; responsible uses of technology and AI; interdisciplinary collaboration; developing project portfolios; documenting contributions and outcomes; mentorship; and communicating experience for future academic or professional opportunities.
Focus Area: Workforce & Student Pathways
Recommended Presenters: Public Health Professor + Clinical Research Fellow
